Agreement gives Maine Law students an inside track to U.S. Patent Office
Students at the University of Maine School of Law will have priority status when applying for summer positions at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, thanks to an agreement signed Thursday in Washington, D.C.
Maine Law builds coalition for pro bono IP services
On May 4, leaders of Maine Law’s Center for Law & Innovation – which houses the Maine Patent Program and the Law School’s Intellectual Property Clinic – met with attorneys from Verrill Dana, Pierce Atwood, Drummond & Drummond, Fairchild Semiconductor, Murray Plumb and Murray, Tredecim, and the Maine Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Also attending at the invitation of Maine Law was David Kappos, Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and Undersecretary of Commerce.
